The EMPI Street Model Centrifugal Advance (009 Style) Distributor with Electronic Ignition has an advance curve similar to the Bosch 009. The distributor uses the same cap and rotor as the 009 distributor for easy parts availability. The Electronic Ignition in the distributors must be used with a 3 ohm internally resisted coil such as the Bosch Blue 00012 coil. See Part #9432 for replacement electronic ignition.

This distributor MUST be used with a coil that has 3 ohms of resistance or it will not work and may short out. If you are unsure about your existing coil, we recommend Part #40511 (available in the additional options above).

Note: this distributor will not work with fuel injected engines.
