Developed using an original NOS counterpart as a reference at every stage, our A-Pillar Lower Repair Sections are engineered for accuracy, strength, and correct geometry—no guesswork, no compromises.

This left-side version is correct for Beetles 1963 and up and features the factory-correct single hole, ensuring proper originality and compatibility with early cars.

Manufactured from 1.0 mm thick steel, these panels provide the correct rigidity and weldability required when replacing the lower A-pillar area, avoiding the alignment and structural issues commonly found with thinner reproductions.
Overall height: 200 mm.

Each repair section is supplied complete with the inner reinforcement and the threaded door hinge bolt plate, just as originally fitted. This ensures correct door alignment, structural strength, and a proper, factory-style installation.

All components are precision die-stamped from high-quality, period-correct sheet metal to guarantee an exact fit, clean edges, and accurate factory contours. The result is a repair panel that installs correctly, resists distortion during welding, and provides long-term protection against rust and corrosion.

Using correct-specification metal parts is essential to preserve both the authenticity and value of your classic Beetle—while also maintaining structural integrity and safety. Whether you are carrying out a high-level restoration or a proper structural repair, these panels meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship expected from DKB.
