Heater Channel Tube - Split Beetle, 1946-53, Left

The heater channel is a load-bearing part of the Beetle body that also carries warm air from the engine bay into the cabin. This left-side version corresponds to the early 1946-53 configuration, with a small round outlet at the front footwell, no closure, and no internal ducting tube.

Quality and Craftsmanship

We build our heater channels from 1.1mm thick steel — stronger than the original factory panels. Every curve, flange, vent hole, and bracket is reproduced exactly as original; nothing is generic or "universal."

Fit

We reproduce the correct version for every model year from 1946 to 1967, including the correct heater outlet shape and placement, internal structure, and surface stamping. Where required, the internal heat tube is precisely shaped and identical in form and thickness to the factory part, and it actually works the way it should.

Just like the original, we use real spot welds — not tacks or MIG seams — for durability, strength, and a factory look. Assembly in precision welding jigs keeps every channel perfectly straight, and hand-finished final inspection ensures perfect quality.
