Did you know Split Beetle bumper brackets differ from later style brackets by 4 specific means? They have smaller bolt holes, different bend radiuses, are 2-layer style and of course don't have the same length as the later style. The most important and apparent detail is having the correct bend radius, as it will be exposed to the outside and very noticeable. Compare our radiuses to other vendors - achieving a correct radius requires making an actual die to stamp the layers, not just an industrial bending machine. A stamping die costs a lot of money, so most choose the short path; their brackets may work with some adjustments, but won't be period correct.
